-         The 3rd International Workshop on Computational Topology in Image Context has been organized by Pedro Real (US) and Rocio Gonzalez-Diaz (US) in Chipiona (Spain). The workshop intends to provide an opportunity for participants, from different fields related to computational geometry, discrete geometry, geometrical modeling, algebraic topology and image processing to exchange ideas.

-         Fuensanta Torres has joined the PRIP at January 2011. She has been accepted at the International School of the TU of Vienna.

-         In June 2011, a third meeting was hold in Vienna. Rebeca Marfil, Esther Antunez, Antonio Palomino and Antonio Bandera (UMA) participated in the meeting. Rocio Gonzalez (US) stayed at the PRIP for one week on July 2011.

-         Esther Antunez presented the contribution -A new perception-based segmentation approach using Combinatorial Pyramids- at the ICIAP2011 at Ravenna (Italy).

-         At the end of August 2011, Pedro Real (US) and Walter G. Kropatsch (PRIP) organized the 14th Int. Conf. on Computer Analysis of Images and Patterns (CAIP) at Seville. Researchers from the Universities of Seville and Vienna have presented interesting advances on the specific topics of this integrated action.

-         September 2011: The 1st International Workshop on Recognition and Action is organized by Antonio Bandera, Jorge Dias and Francisco Escolano at Malaga (Spain). One of the main topics of the event is the design and development of artificial visual attention mechanisms.

-         In September 2011, Nicole Artner (PRIP) stayed at Seville and Malaga. She attended the CAIP and the REACTS workshop.
