The main goal of the SHARE project is to contribute to the development of the next generation of assistive devices for older persons and people with cognitive and motory disabilities so that they can be self-dependent enough to autonomously live in the community, staying at home as long as possible with a maximum safety and comfort; this possibility would increase their quality of life, and, at the same time, delay their institutionalization. SHARE will carry out long-term foundational research towards this aim by focusing in particular on the adaptation of the SHARE to the end-user and also to the environment, via the quality and flexibility of the interface.
